Nikko Mussolini Dog Boutique and Spirits
Meet the dictator of our home, Nikko Mussolini (AKA The Dog Father).
This dog came from the road of a hard knock life. He was in a kill shelter, then rescued, only to be returned to the kill shelter. Nikko was then was rescued again by someone that had stroke of bad luck within a few months after adopting Nikko and, unfortunately, lost their job leaving Nikko without a forever home.
Here moves in serendipity... A chance run in with the gentleman that lost his job, literally moments from taking Nikko back to the shelter, was interrupted while getting into his truck by a voice that made a simple complement, "Nice looking dog!" The voice of the complement belonged to the now current owner of Nikko Mussolini Dog Boutique and Spirits, Tony Campetti.
The gentleman told the story of Nikko's past and his current situation. Tony's heart sunk for the dog and the man. Tony told the man to ,"Please wait...just a second...I'll be right back." So, he ran home and relayed the story to his wife Cody. Of course, her heart sunk at the thought of such an adorable dog going to a kill shelter. Well, needless to say, it took all of about 1 minute to say we would give Nikko a great forever home, he stole our hearts the second he looked at us with his sparkly rust colored eyes.
So, how did we come up with an idea of a dog bar?? Pretty simple actually. We walked Nikko around the same block, took him to the same park, and found we couldn't really take him out with us to dinner -anywhere.
So, we decided to fix the problem, let's make a dog friendly venue for dog lovers like us! Have a drink, sit with the dog, sit with friends, meet new people that feel the same way...and voia la...Nikko Mussolini Dog Boutique and spirits was established!
We don't even have words that describe how this bar has evolved and what it has become. Having said that...you must come and experience it for yourself. We can say for sure that it is different, you will not get bored, and no matter whom is sitting next to you, you already have one thing in common with each other!
Come and relax. Listen to great music, enjoy a couple of drinks with your friends or colleagues and experience the love of man's best friend (s).
“I’ve seen a look in dogs’ eyes, a quickly vanishing look of amazed contempt, and I am convinced that basically dogs think humans are nuts.”
